Terms of use
Last updated September 16, 2026
STL Viewer lets you inspect personal STL files on an iPhone or iPad. Your use of the app is subject to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement. These notes explain how the app and its subscriptions work.
Free preview and Pro
You can preview your first successfully imported model for free. Pro unlocks additional imports, bounding-box measurement, unit conversion and annotated image sharing. You can subscribe to Pro monthly or yearly. Both plans renew automatically. The app shows the current price and billing period before you buy.
Billing, renewal and cancellation
Apple charges your Apple Account when you confirm a purchase. Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Apple charges the renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your device's Settings under your Apple Account. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Apple handles refund requests under its applicable policies.
Your files and measurements
You retain your rights in your files and are responsible for having permission to use them. STL coordinates have no built-in physical unit. Measurements depend on the source units you select and represent the model's axis-aligned bounding box. STL Viewer displays models but does not certify mesh quality, printability, engineering tolerances or safety. Confirm dimensions and suitability in your original design workflow before manufacturing or other consequential use.
Compatibility and local storage
The app supports ASCII and binary STL files up to 50 MB and one million triangles. Malformed or unsupported files may not open. Keep copies of important original files outside the app. The app does not support CAD editing, slicing, mesh repair or STEP, OBJ and 3MF files.
